Control Systems

A Wacom pen display is an ideal way to work with sophisticated control interfaces consisting of menus, dials, sliders, and static or dynamic icons. Because a Wacom pen display allows you to use the pen directly on the screen, you are able to comfortably work in a natural and highly precise manner for maximum efficiency.

Unlike touch-screen systems, a Wacom pen display inherently rejects 100% of all hand input. This makes a Wacom pen display less likely to be accidentally activated because it only responds to input from a Wacom pen.

Wacom pen displays use electromagnetic technology behind the LCD panel which enhances durability and provides the full brightness of the LCD display. Wacom's patented pen technology is also cordless and battery-free, so there is no critical umbilical cord to fail or batteries to replace.

Wacom's patented pen technology provides up to 5080 lines per inch of pen resolution, which delivers a level of pen precision that is unmatched by any touch technology on the market today. Wacom's pen technology also provides cursor control while hovering up to one half inch above the display surface, which allows the pen tip to perform mouse click functions just by tapping or double-tapping the pen on the screen. The result is an extremely natural and intuitive way for anyone to use the pen on the screen for computer navigation and precise cursor control.

To enjoy the benefits of a Wacom interactive pen display for use with an existing room control system, use a touch-panel interface from either Crestron or AMX. Using Crestron's e-control web interface, customized html control panels can easily be created to minimize desktop space. The high precision of the Wacom pen display makes it easy to activate these miniature control panels with the pen directly on the screen.

Wacom pen displays are well suited to AV control applications, emergency response call centers, aviation control systems, ship bridge control systems, and many other industrial control applications.
